It’s A Family Thing
It’s more than a weekend breakfast
Some of my favorite memories in the kitchen are the slow mornings—the ones where no one is rushing out the door and the griddle stays warm a little longer. Pancakes have become a staple in those moments.
With a big family, I’ve learned to rely on recipes that are simple, filling, and made from ingredients I always have on hand. These pancakes come together quickly, feed a crowd, and turn an ordinary morning into something just a little more special. Sometimes it’s the simplest meals that everyone remembers.
This was one of the first recipes my daughter learned to make. She would wake up on weekend mornings to make breakfast for her and her brothers. Memories last a lifetime, but the pancakes rarely make it past the morning.

From My Kitchen
There’s something about a warm stack of pancakes that slows everyone down just enough to enjoy the moment—and those are the mornings I hold onto.
